Australia?ssecond-largest publisher of newspapers reported its first losson record after advertising revenue fell and the company wrotedown the value of newspapers and media licenses. The fiscal first-half net loss totaled A$365. 3 million ($237million) or 24. 8 Australian cents a share compared with aprofit of A$187.
